Homegrown Heroes — Celebrating the People Who Make Hutchins Shine

Everyday heroes walk among us — teachers who inspire, neighbors who serve, first responders who protect, and volunteers who give without being asked. This year, we want to honor Hutchins residents who go above and beyond to strengthen our community.

If you know someone who deserves to be recognized, we invite you to nominate them as a Local Hero for our Annual Christmas Parade: Homegrown Heroes celebration.

Who Can Be Nominated?

Nominees must:

• Live in Hutchins, Texas

• Demonstrate exceptional service, kindness, leadership, or bravery

• Make a measurable positive impact in the community

Heroes can be of any age, from youth helping classmates to elders who’ve shaped generations.

Nomination Criteria

Your nomination should include:

• Full Name of the nominee

• How do you know them

• Specific examples of their community impact

• Why they are a Local Hero in Hutchins

The more detail you share, the better we can understand their contribution.

Recognition Process:

• Selected nominees will:​

• Be featured as part of the Parade of Local Heroes

• Receive public recognition during the celebration

• Be highlighted as a Resident of Light in our community
